Video Business Cards

It’s your voice. It’s your vision. Communicate it effectively.

You provide amazing services or products to your customers. That’s awesome and will take you a long way. The problem is often communicating your message and services to potential customers. Not only do you have to get them interested in what your offering, but you have to hook them. How do you do that? By being you. By telling your story. By showing. By creating a connection.

This is where a Video Business Card (VBC) comes into play.

A video business card is exactly what it sounds like: a professionally produced video that highlights and promotes your business. These short 1 to 3 minute videos tell the story of you and your business in a compelling fashion and end with a call to action designed to peak the interest of potential customers, transforming them from cold to warm leads.

A Video Business Card is your elevator pitch, without ever having to step foot in the elevator…

Why use Video Business Cards?

Simply put, video is HUGE and isn’t going anywhere. Don’t believe us? Log onto Facebook or Instagram or Twitter and just look at the engagement that (quality) videos receive on those platforms. Video is where it’s at. Some statistics*:

  • 45% of people watch more than an hour of Facebook or YouTube videos a week.

  • 87% of online marketers use video content. (So why aren’t you?)

  • One-third of online activity is spent watching video.

  • Video will represent 82% of all IP traffic by 2021.

  • Video increases conversions by 184%!

Outside of the numbers, video helps customers start forming a connection with you and your product before walking in the door or even picking up the phone. They get to know you, but most importantly, you get to craft your story the way you want it to be told.

Where can I use VBCs?

The obvious choice is to use your Video Business Cards as ads or promotional materials on your social media accounts. This can help you to attract more attention to your brand, products, and services.

But realistically, you can use your VBCs for any purpose you’d like. Show your VBC off at your company’s booth at the next convention or trade show. Combine analog and digital and showcase some flair by incorporating a QR code on your paper business card that directs contacts right to your VBC, putting not only a face, but a voice and a story to the name on the card.

Better yet, have you ever been at an event and realized you ran out of traditional business cards? If you have a VBC, you can just text or email your new contact a link to your video. Not only does a VBC convey more information than a simple piece of paper, but now you also have the contact information of your potential customer for following up.

The Secret Sauce

A good Video Business Card is all about communicating a story. It has to have the key elements of Who, Why, What, How, and a Call to Action.

Who you are. Why you do what you do. What problem your product or service addresses. How it ads value to your customer, and what the next step is (book a call, join your newsletter, visit your store, etc.)

The Process

RedBeard MultiMedia specializes in creating quality VBCs that generate results, by using professional recording equipment and editing software to produce high quality audio and video products.

With a background in anthropology and interviewing, Rick has a knack for putting even the most nervous and camera shy person as ease. You don’t have to worry about memorizing a script or trying to be an ‘actor’; you just have to be able to speak enthusiastically about your passion.

How it works:

  • First there will be a Discovery Form to fill out to get an understanding of the services you offer and how how RedBeard MultiMedia can help you achieve your goals.

  • Next would be formal meeting to discuss details, ideas, and plans.

  • On filming day, we’ll arrive and set up the equipment and have a brief chat about how things will go.

  • Then, it’s SHOWTIME! All you have to do is have a seat, get comfortable, and talk to the interviewer just like if you were explaining your business to a potential customer. It’s that simple. You’ve done it a thousand times before.

  • Additionally, if you would like to use a script, we can work with you to create effective copy and provide teleprompter support so you don’t have to worry about memorizing your lines.

  • Typically shooting the interview takes about 20-30 minutes to 2 hours depending on how many videos/products we’re doing, as well as how talkative the interviewee is… 😉

  • After that, we’ll shoot some background/B-roll footage to intersperse throughout the VBC to keep it more engaging.

  • Aaaaaaannnnd… you’re done. After that, our expert editor will combine the highlights from the interview into a compelling story and fit them into an appropriate video length.

  • Now just sit back as the likes, favorites, comments, engagements, and most importantly, sales begin to add up thanks to your new Video Business Card.
